Specification
Bentonite geosynthetic clay liners (GCL) are a new type of environmentally friendly composite waterproofing material, mainly used for anti-seepage projects. According to the production process, bentonite geosynthetic clay liners can be divided into the following types:
Needle-punched bentonite geosynthetic clay liners: Produced by needling processes that fix bentonite particles between a geotextile and a plastic woven fabric, creating a mat-like waterproofing material. This method ensures a strong bond between the bentonite and the geotextile, enhancing waterproofing performance.
Needle-punched and membrane-coated bentonite geosynthetic clay liners: A high-density polyethylene geomembrane is laminated onto the outer surface of the non-woven geotextile of the needle-punched bentonite geosynthetic clay liner. This design not only improves waterproofing performance but also enhances durability.
Adhesive-bound bentonite geosynthetic clay liners: Bentonite particles are bonded to a high-density polyethylene board using an adhesive, and then compressed to produce the liner. This method ensures a tight bond between the bentonite and the substrate, improving overall performance.
The main application areas of bentonite geosynthetic clay liners include landfills, underground reservoirs, and underground infrastructure construction, effectively solving problems related to sealing, isolation, and anti-seepage. They are known for their good resistance to damage and durability.
