This product is manufactured by alternately laminating thin steel plates and rubber layers, bonded together through high-temperature and high-pressure vulcanization. Its core principle is to effectively dissipate seismic energy by extending the structure's natural vibration period and increasing damping, thereby significantly reducing the seismic force transferred to the upper structure (isolating approximately 80% of the seismic force). This greatly enhances the structural seismic performance, protecting buildings and ensuring human safety.

Material
The bearing primarily uses Natural Rubber (NR) or specially formulated synthetic rubber (such as high-damping rubber). Internal thin steel plates serve as reinforcement skeletons to provide sufficient vertical stiffness and load-bearing capacity. Some models (e.g., lead-rubber bearings) incorporate a pure lead core plug at the center to offer higher damping and initial stiffness.

Process
*Rubber Mixing: Specific rubber formulations are mixed in an internal mixer to create compounded rubber.
*Steel Plate Treatment: Thin steel plates undergo surface treatment (e.g., phosphating, sandblasting) and are coated with specialized adhesives.
*Lamination and Vulcanization: Rubber sheets and treated steel plates are alternately layered and vulcanized under high temperature and pressure to ensure strong interlayer bonding. For LRB bearings, this process includes the insertion of the lead core.
