Product Introduction
The water-swellable waterstop strip is a unique functional waterproofing material specifically designed for sealing joints in concrete structures, such as construction joints, post-cast strips, and pipe penetrations. Its core characteristic is the ability to expand 2 to 5 times or more in volume upon water contact, actively sealing gaps through physical plugging to achieve a reliable "water-stops-water" effect. Easy to install, environmentally friendly, and non-toxic, it is a key material for waterproof sealing in underground engineering.

Product Types
Mainly categorized by material and form:

    *Putty-type Waterstop Strip: Soft as putty, highly moldable. It has a relatively slow expansion rate but excellent mobility and replenishment, effectively sealing new cracks caused by settlement with strong self-healing capability.
    *Product-type Waterstop Strip: Primarily made of rubber through vulcanization. It offers higher strength and elasticity, with large and stable water absorption expansion ratio, maintaining good elasticity even after expansion.

Function

1.Active Waterproof Sealing: Expands upon water contact, actively filling and compacting concrete gaps to form a dense, impermeable gel barrier.
2.Resist Static Water Pressure: The expansion pressure generated can effectively resist certain external static water pressure, preventing pressurized water penetration.
3.Self-healing & Compensation: Can continue to absorb water and expand for secondary sealing of new micro-cracks that may appear later due to concrete shrinkage or settlement.
4.Filling & Bonding: Adheres to and fills uneven joint surfaces, bonding well with concrete, either through inherent tack or with auxiliary fixation.

Bentonite waterstop with expanded metal is a new type water sealing product. The added expanded steel mesh (or nylon mesh as your request) effectively enhances the tensile strength of the waterstop and improves the overall construction quality.

Bentonite waterstop with grouting pipe

The perfect match of bentonite waterstops and grouting pipes extremely improve the performance of the water-proofing capability. Once the leakage of water occurs, you can plug the crack through pouring chemical grout into the pipe, instead of slotting and drilling a hole on the construction surface.
